Description
Laurence Aberhart was commissioned in 1992 by the City Gallery, in association with the Civic Centre development, to photograph Wellington’s central business district. In particular, the focus of the commission was to document buildings of architectural significance.
Laurence Aberhart is a notable new Zealand photographer, who has been recording the built environment since 1975. His documentary photographs convey his conservationist approach to architecture. During his career he has won numerous awards and commissions.
