Description
John Baillie was an artist but also secretary of the Pumpkin Cottage group in 1894. Silverstream was chosen for the cottage because Nairn and his friends were fond of sketching in the Hutt Valley. Baillie’s painting “Evening Shadows” is very likely to be somewhere in the Hutt Valley.
