Description
Sian Torrington is a Wellington based artist. She completed her Masters in Fine Arts at Massey University in 2009.
Sian is interested in the processes that accompany creativity. These images represent a time of being allowed to play, to follow intuition and feeling rather than be guided by thinking. They were part of the exhibition, ‘Open Water Bodies’ at Blackmore Jean Gallery, Wellington. The exhibition explored freedom of expression and the bodily experience of pleasure through the metaphor of home made boats and expansive drawings.
