Object Detail

Description
This work of seven pieces conveys stories of Wellington. The first panel represents the time before people came. The second shows early Maori and, in the third, a father takes his son to meet his ancestors. The fourth is dominated by Te Rauparaha, representing anger and volatility. The fifth shows Wellington as the seat of power and the last conveys the idea of Wellington as a lookout, the political hotspot looking out over the rest of the nation.
