Description
Trevor Moffitt is a South Island artist. His figurative, expressionist work - as art critic Elva Bett has said - 'writes moral histories of the times that have furnished New Zealand with its heritage.'
The Mackenzie series was painted while Moffitt lived in Timaru and depicts the story of McKenzie the sheep stealer and the landscape of the MacKenzie country.
